Compare/Contrast - There are many differences and similarities in my photos and the photos of Richard Avedon. One of the main similarities is the black and white high contrast aspect. However in my photos I chose to completely white out the background in comparison to Avedon’s white sheet type background. I chose to do this to highlight the characteristics of my subjects. In Avedon’s photos he focuses on the true fashion and style of his subjects. In my photos we see more personality and behavior.
Personal Statement - These pictures that I have taken mean so much to not only me, but the fashion world as a whole. With every style and difference you see within each person a new person grows. Everyone sees people differently. I see people as their actions and passions. This is seen through all of my photos, I want to capture everyones feelings and doings through my photography. I want to spread knowledge and the love for photography.
